Güiráoga

Güiráoga, whose name means home of the birds in the Guarani language, operates as a wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and breeding center in Puerto Iguazú. Founded in 1997, this facility is dedicated to recovering injured animals, victims of illegal trafficking or roadkill on the roads of Misiones province, with the ultimate goal of reintroducing them to their natural habitat whenever possible.

The grounds are immersed in an area of Paraná rainforest, allowing visitors to observe conservation work in a controlled environment that replicates the region’s natural conditions. The visit consists of a guided tour along trails through the forest, where you can learn about the stories of the rescued animals and discover local biodiversity, including emblematic species such as toucans, monkeys, and native felines.
